Dr. Mandip Gill was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and completed his Bachelors of Science with Honours in both Kinesiology and Biology at the University of Western Ontario. He continued on to complete his Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2007. During his schooling, he realized that his passion and skills were geared towards medical optometry and hence decided to elevate his skills by joining the faculty at Salus University and completing a residency in Advanced Ocular Disease and Emergency Ocular Care. During this time, he specialized in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, diabetes of the eyes, and many other retinal diseases.
Along with his specialty in ocular disease, Dr. Gill has also honed his skills and excelled at comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings. In the academic world, Dr. Gill has presented posters at various optometry conferences regarding his ocular disease cases. He has also given academic lectures to both students and other optometrists regarding proper patient care.
Dr. Gill's patients have often expressed an appreciation for the time and care he puts into explaining every aspect of their eye health in a manner to which they can relate, and hence feel more comfortable with the level of care their vision is receiving. He continues to strive to provide the best care for his patients, with the aim of enhancing their vision, and keeping their eyes as healthy and comfortable as possible.
